Neta Forbes

Ineta O’Gwynn Forbes, lifelong resident of Pensacola, Florida went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, Nov. 26 2022 at the age of 76. She was born on July 31, 1946 to the late Claude O’Gwynn and Icletus Carroll O’Gwynn.

Neta was a faithful member of Burgess Road Baptist Church. She loved using puppets and teaching the word of God to her Sunday School children. She loved God, family, and especially her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Patricia Strength.

Neta is survived by her husband Billy Forbes of 57 years, daughter Kimberly and son Rodney (Jennifer) grandson Brayden and granddaughter Riley, brothers Danny and Kenny O’Gwynn, sisters Sandra Thomas (Malcolm) and Kathy Robbins.

Funeral service will be held Friday Dec. 2, 10:30 am at Eastern Gate on Nine Mile Rd. Pensacola, Florida. Pastor Mark Cooley and Malcolm Thomas will be officiating. Burial will immediately follow.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 on Friday Dec. 2, Eastern Gate.

Pallbearers will be Justin Robbins, Alex O’Gwynn, Blake Cavanah, Brayden Forbes, Dax and Brett Robbins, and Justin Dukes.
