Lawrence "Larry" Patrick Sanford

Monday, September 19, 2022, Lawrence “Larry” Patrick Sanford, 54, passed away suddenly in Pensacola, Florida. Larry was born April 10, 1968 in Stuttgart, Germany, while his father, Lawrence C. Sanford, was stationed there and serving in the Army.

Larry was married to Stephanie Copeland for 19 years beginning in 1988, and had their only child, Patrick Sanford.

In 2008, he married Theresa Box, with whom he spent the rest of his life.

Larry grew up in Fort Smith, Arkansas and graduated from Southside High School in 1987. He worked for Capital Structures from 1989 to 2013. He moved to Pensacola, Florida in 2013 and worked as a Project Manager for R.E. Reece/Merrill Land. In November 2020 he began his career as an Assistant Branch Manager for Senox Corporation.

Larry loved life! He strongly supported the Arkansas Razorbacks and was an avid sports fan in general. As a member of KaBoom Sports and Social Club, Larry (aka Lar-Bear) was in the bowling league, refereed kickball and played cornhole. Larry loved to grill and cook but what he really loved was firing up the smoker. Food, drinks and conversation flowed freely in the Sanford Home and the fun was endless. He will be greatly missed by all!

Larry was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence C. Sanford. He was survived by the following: his wife, Theresa Sanford; his son, Patrick Sanford with his wife, Rachel and their son, Noah; his step-daughter, Emily Cotterman and her two sons, Mason and Myles; his step-son, John Cotterman; his mother, Martha Corff; his sister, Michele (D.J.) Elmore and her family; his brother, Charles (Amy) Sanford and his family; and his sister, Suzanne (James) Whitaker and her family. He was survived by many other nieces and nephews.

A “Celebration of Life” will be held in his honor for close friends and family at the Sanford’s home, Saturday, October 1, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
