Jeanette "Jan" Reed

1929 - 2013

Alice Jeanette (Jan) Farlow Reed, 83, of Pensacola, Florida, died February 10, 2013. She was born in Siam, Iowa. She graduated from The University of Nebraska in Omaha, and retired as a Radiologic Technologist from West Florida Hospital. Jan was predeceased by parents, Floyd W. and Happilona Farlow; husband, George Reed; brothers, Francis and Donald Farlow; and grandson, Michael Kaltrieder. She is survived by two sons, Clay Reed, of Atlanta, GA; and Mark (Linda) Reed of Phenix City, AL; two granddaughters, Emily Reed and Tristan Kaltreider; two great granddaughters, Iliyah Kaltreider and Rozzalind Dauenhauer; three nieces, Virginia (Richard) Portillo, Jane Farlow and Beverly Farlow; three nephews, William (Mary) Farlow, Virgil (Jacqueline) Farlow and Ralph Fisher; and a host of grand nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held in the Pleitz Chapel at First Baptist Church of Pensacola on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 11am, with visitation one hour prior. Burial will take place at Bayview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Building Fund of First Baptist Church of Pensacola 500 N. Palafox St., Pensacola, FL 32501.
