1949 – 2011
James Francis White, age 62, of Pensacola, died at his home surrounded by family and friends after a two year battle with cancer.
Born in Trenton, NJ on June 03, 1949, he moved with his family to Pensacola at the tender age of 1 and he spent the remainder of his life here, where he graduated from Catholic High School. He also attended PJC and earned his Associates Degree which he used to launch into a successful and meaningful career in interior decorating. His talent for decorating was well known and sought after across the Gulf Coast and has been showcased in the Pensacola Home and Garden magazine. He enjoyed the here and now, making every moment count – always the jokester at parties and known for his sharp tongue, great wit and his ability to make an unforgettable impression that grew lifelong friendships out of first meetings.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George White and Gloria White.
He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie White (Daniel Debresen); grandchildren, Jacob, Jynna, James, Mitchell, Jaclyn and Addison all of Fayetteville, NC; brothers, Jerry, Jean G. Jeff, Jon and sister GeorgeAnn all of Pensacola. Last but not least, he leaves behind his loving partner of thirty-two years, Kurt Young, with whom he shared a complete and fulfilled life.
The visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel. A memorial service will be held at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Rehab Foundation of Northwest Florida, 2929 Langley Ave., Ste 202, Pensacola, FL 32504 or the Wildlife Sanctuary of Pensacola, 105 West “S” Street, Pensacola, FL 32505.
