James "Jim" William Joiner

Jim met his wife, Diane, in the first grade and they grew up together. They eventually married on July 4, 1995.

He went to Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama, and Notre Dame University in Notre Dame, Indiana. He later built a career as a Tax Auditor at NAS Pensacola.

Jim was actively involved at Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church, where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed taking family vacations. Some of his favorites were trips to Dollywood and Disney World. When he was not traveling with his family, he liked going on walks and boat riding around the Gulf.

Jim is preceded in death by his father, Charles Vincent Joiner; mother, Margaret Crane Joiner; step-daughter, Arlene Daughtry and step-son, Brian Cook.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Joiner and son, David Joiner.

The family would like to thank all of Jim’s doctors, nurses and caregivers for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in their final days.

A visitation for Jim will be held Tuesday, May 9, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 303 S Navy Blvd., Pensacola, FL 32507. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 303 S Navy Blvd., Pensacola, FL 32507. An interment will follow at Saint John's Catholic Cemetery, 451 S Old Corry Field Rd., Pensacola, FL 32507.
