It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Lee Schwerr, 84, of Pensacola, FL, on Sunday, October 6, 2024. He was born to loving parents, Harold Schwerr and Charlotte Vandewater in Mankato, MN. A proud veteran, he served in the Navy for 32 years, dedicating his life to his country.
For 45 wonderful years, he was happily married to his wife, Fanny Schwerr, who was his everything. Their love was a testament to commitment and devotion.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Fanny Schwerr, his brother, Tom Schwerr, two daughters, Tracy Brown and MaryJane Wittman, and five grandchildren, Sara Volk, Michael Volk, Caitlin Burtner, Hunter Wittman, and Venice Wittman, and a host of relatives and friends. Gary brought joy and laughter into their lives and will be profoundly missed.
A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, October 14, 2024, at Little Flower Catholic Church at 10:45am.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and service that will endure in the hearts of those who knew him.
