1933 – 2018
Buddy died March 9, 2018 at the age of 84. A native of Pensacola, he was a longshoreman at the Port of Pensacola. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957-1959. Buddy was a simple man, loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He'd spend time tinkering around the yard pruning and planting flowers, with his dogs at his side. His TV only knew one type of channel, The Western. He knew them all by heart! He loved spending his time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his daughters Beverly Wisler and Christy (Jon) Holt, two stepchildren, Randall (Anita) Wingard and Pamela Williams; siblings Ray Lewis, Clifford Lewis, Ronnie Brown, Emily Sweeney and sweet Aunt Vi Hayworth. Preceded in death by his mother Mary Lee Weathersby, father Jack Lewis, siblings Jean Trujilo, Joyce Ashley, Jerry Lewis and Arthur Weathersby.
Funeral services will be held at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home, 1985 West Nine Mile Road on Wednesday, March 14th. Visitation at 9:30am. Services begin at 10:00. Rev. Hazel Godwin officiating. Burial at Barrancas National Cemetery immediately following.
