It is with deep regret and sadness that we announce that Master Sargeant Donald Lee Rutter, age 81, of New Bern NC passed peacefully away on Saturday January 15, 2022. Don was born March 12, 1940 in Lancaster Pennsylvania to the late H. Luther Rutter and Caroline George Rutter. He is survived by his sister Teresa, his children, Caroline, Steven and Donna. Grandchildren Kerry, Christopher, Lara and Antonio, Great Grandchildren Keane, Grace and Charlotte and predeceased by his loving wife Robbye Rutter.
His children would like to thank Cherry Point Bay Nursing Home and Carolina East Hospital for the excellent care of our dad. We would also like to thank Bucky, Linda and Tiffany for all their kindness and support.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 4, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, 3351 Scenic Hwy #90e, Pensacola, FL 32503. A Graveside Service will follow in Bayview Memorial Park Cemetery.
