The entire, and rather large, Marcilliat family sends our sympathy to Becky, Charlie, Brenda, Pete and the entire Nye family.  Charlie Nye was a very important part of my childhood and he and Becky were cherished friends of both mom and dad.  I am filled with memories of a Foxy Van, visiting with Charlie at our house, watching Brenda play softball, and days and nights spent as a little girl tagging along with the Woodham High School Quarterback Club.  So many deep friendships fostered over a shared love of the students, the coaches, the school and each other.  It makes me sad that I can't say, "Hi, Hi Charlie Nye". Mrs (Rebecca) Nye, Charlie, Brenda and the rest of the wonderful Nye Family, I and my family were shocked  and saddened beyond description to learn of the untimely passing of a wonderful and exceptionally talented  person of Charles H. Nye.

Over the many years (30 plus of them) of working directly for him, or in association with the various NYCO Companies founded, developed and managed by him, I found  his enthusiasm, vision, leadership and integrity to be second to no other I have been associated with in more than fifty years of employment in Government and the private sector.

After his retirement I became one of the last managers of NYCO prior to our companies final acquisition by a very large international organization. Therefore, I would like to take this opportunity to express on behalf of  past employees of NYCO to honor the memory of our founding father, Charles H. Nye. Mr. Nye is in our eyes the greatest business person this nation has ever produced.

It is the inspiration and drive of Mr. Nye that forged his (our) company, and it was he more than anyone who helped create our regional and eventually nationwide  reputation. Mr. Nye was a perfectionist and demanded the same standards from all of our services and products.

I know that I, as well as all the past employees of NYCO  together, offer every sympathy to all the family of Mr. Nye at this time of your loss. We  offer our promise that the memory of Mr. Nye will continue to be honored forever. Mr. Nye touched everyone he came into contact with, and he will never be forgotten, and we hope that this is in some way a small measure of comfort to you.

My condolences to Mrs.Nye, Brenda (Pete) and the entire Nye family. So sorry to hear this. Such a kind hearted wonderful person. He was like a dad to me, and welcomed me into his family with open arms. Many great memories.  He has left many great memories to cherish forever. Lifting the family up in prayer. 😘 

I met Charlie when I joined Rotary (PNR) back in 2002.  He was one of the very first to reach-back to me and make me "at home".  He was always good-natured, warm, and friendly;  whenever anyone asked help from him,  he was glad to do so quickly.

In other words,  Charlie was truly the very definition of "a friend".
He will be missed by all very much.

My prayers and sympathies are with Rebecca and all of his family.

I was very blessed to have known Charles Nye for the last 10 years. He was a very dear friend who always had compassion, understanding and would always lend a hand if you needed it. He gave so much of himself to family, friends and his church, i will miss him very much.

My papa deserves more words than a box can take. He was, and always will be extraordinary. He started without shoes, and walked his final days of life wearing more expensive ones than most can afford. He changed lives and brought smiles wherever he walked. He saved me in more ways than one. I will always find calmness in the memories I have with him. Forever his princess, forever his first granddaughter. Forever missing a part of my heart, that he took with him. 

Charlie and Brenda, your dad was a special man and very much a loving father. I remember how he supported you both with your dreams and goals early in your lives (our high school and college years).  Your lives and those of many others have been touched by the kindness of your dad. I remember rides in the back seat of the car with him driving us after school, Friday night football games, and so much more. I know he’ll be missed.  My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time of loss.
