Charles L Holloway

1910 – 2012

Charles L. Holloway, age 102, passed away Friday, August 31, 2012, in a local hospital with his family at his bedside.

He was born May 20, 1910 in Wedowee, Alabama and was a lifelong resident of Pensacola. He was a member of Warrington Baptist Church.

Mr. Holloway was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys, and sons, Charles H. Holloway and Glenn L. Holloway.

Survivors include a son, Gary S. Holloway; daughters, Joyce Mitchell (Bill), Betty Markham, Carolyn Browning and Elaine Busche (Ervin); 14 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and brothers, Lawrence Holloway of Mississippi and Pete Holloway of California.

Mr. Holloway was retired from the Pensacola NAS Rework Facility with over 33 years of Federal service.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 04, 2012 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel. Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Steve Holloway, Nathan Markham, Eric Browning, Jason Browning, Aaron Busche, Gary Holloway, Jr. and Brad Holloway.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
