Billy Frank Mitchell

Billy was predeceased by his parents, Bremon and Ruth Mitchell, and is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joyce Mitchell, as well as his sons William, his wife Janet, and Bremon.

He is also survived by his two grandsons Ryan and Joshua Mitchell. As well as two caring Sisters in Law, Betty Markham and Carolyn Browning.

Billy was a meteorologist in the Navy and met Joyce while stationed at the Pensacola Naval Air Station. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Jacksonville State University, his Master's from Rollins College and spent his career as a Teacher, then Guidance Counselor, then Asst. Principal in the Orange County School District.

Billy was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Pensacola, as well as being a Mason and Shriner. He enjoyed traveling throughout Europe with Joyce and volunteered with the rebuilding of several Lutheran churches in eastern European Lutheran churches after the Soviet Union dissolved. Billy also served as a sworn Reserve Deputy in both the Orange County, Fl and Clay County, Al Sherrif’s Offices

Billy will be missed by friends and family, but has been reunited with his parents in Heaven.
