On March 17, 2016, our dear, sweet mother Alice Reese Doman finished her earthly course of life. She passed peacefully in the early morning hours. A reception will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel. Funeral mass service will be 10:00am on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Saint Ann's Catholic Church in Gulf Breeze. Burial will follow in Bayview Memorial Park. Officiating will be Msgr. Luke Hunt and Father James Grebe. During her time with us, Alice experienced many things. There were successes, failures, times of great joy, and times of sadness. Those of us who know her intimately can tell you stories about her love of children; pets; the mountains in Georgia; her neighbors, friends, and family. Alice was a staunch member and supporter of the Catholic Church. She attended both Saint Ann's Catholic Church and Saint Sylvester's Catholic Church in Gulf Breeze. Alice was preceded in death by her son, Patrick Lewis Doman; her parents: George Wright Reese and Clifford Louise Clark Reese; her brother, James Wright Reese. Survivors include her children: David Reese Doman, and wife Teressa; James Wright Doman, and wife, Monica; Amy Doman Gruenloh, and husband, Jeffrey; Anne Doman Hurst; Michael Clifford Doman; her daughter-in-law: Kathleen Doman; 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be David Doman, Michael Doman, Ian Gruenloh, Jeffrey Gruenloh, Jonathan Doman and Ralph Brown.Alice was fiercely loyal to those she loved. She was a kind and generous person. She volunteered her time to help others who were less fortunate. She was firm in her convictions. She could be feisty and outspoken. However, the trait that we as children will remember the most is the ready smile, and laughter, that is always with us even now. As a family, we know that there is a time of mourning. However, we ask that you celebrate her life! All you have to do is look at her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. You will see what brought her such joy! We thank all in advance for the many expressions of kindness, condolences, prayers, and well wishes. For those of you who wish to send flowers, it was Alice's wish, that instead you make a donation to Covenant Hospice, 2001 N. Palafox Street, Pensacola, FL 32501. Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
