PELL CITY – Funeral Service for Melvin N. Martin, age 74, will be held Saturday, November 3 at 12:00 Noon from the Chapel of Kilgroe Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, November 2 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Martin passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2018. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Martin; parents, Hendrix & Marie Martin; several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by daughter, Vickie (Buddy Langley) Hudgins; sons, Robert (Kay) Martin, Wayne (Debbie) Martin, Barry Martin, James Payne, Dwight Martin, Josh (Saben) Martin, Earl Castleberry; 11 grandchildren; 14 Great-grandchildren; brothers, Norman Martin, Michael Martin, Harvey Martin, Lamar Edwards; sisters, Virginia Gurley, Rosemary Robinson, DeeDee Gilbert, Janice Ferguson; several cousins; Nieces & Nephews.
He was an avid Auburn Fan. Retired from the City of Pell City.
