Jack is survived by his wife of 62 years, Eloise (Howard) Blankenship; his daughter, Fran Cash (Ervin); his granddaughter, Lauren Ortigara (Dominic), his great granddaughter, Olivia Stella Ortigara and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
Jack was a veteran of the US Air Force and also retired from the Homewood Fire Department after 25 years of service.
A graveside service (open to the public) for Jack will be held Friday, January 14, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Beulah Baptist Cemetery, 49484 AL Hwy 25, Sterrett, AL, with military honors.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life Service for Jack at a later time.
