Wanda Jones Kilpatrick

She was born, made her home and raised her family with her husband of 59 years on the same piece of property on which she was raised in the Rocky Ridge community.

She loved her family, her church, her friends, singing, cooking and traveling.

She is preceded in death by parents Thomas Patrick (“T.P.”) and Berniece Jones and sister-in-law Martha Jones. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Herman Lewis “Kirk” Kilpatrick, their children Barry (Michelle Sanford), Troy (Melissa), April Crunk (Benjamin) and Kara Kilpatrick (Jeno Smith), grandchildren Andrea Dillard (Deke), Austin Kilpatrick (Vanessa), Austin Smith, Evan Acton (Hala), Kelsey Kilpatrick, Jacob Acton, Katie Kilpatrick, Emily Aponte (Xavier), Mary Mitchell Kilpatrick, and great-grandchildren Sloane, Judah, Murphy and Dakota Dillard, Pierce Kilpatrick, Charlotte Aponte, and her two brothers, Dale Jones (Jan) and Gene Jones.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. on Monday, January 4, 2021 at Rocky Ridge Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, immediately followed by A Service of Remembrance for Wanda at 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at Croft-Acton Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Barry Kilpatrick, Troy Kilpatrick, Ben Crunk, Jeno Smith, Austin Kilpatrick, Evan Acton, Jake Acton, and Dale Jones.
