You have never met a more selfless nor more generous person than Vicki. She lived simply so that others would have what they need. Her first thought was always for other people. For 28 years as a Kindergarten teacher, she dedicated her life to giving children a foundational education that they would build on for the rest of their lives.
You have never met a more loving person than Vicki. She carried the light of love into every interaction she had with other people. Her smile and sweet spirit lit up every room. She loved caring for children, her neighbors, and her fellow teachers. Above all, she loved her family, and she loved them deeply. She was a loving and dedicated mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, and aunt.
You have never met a more faithful person than Vicki. Her faith was evident for all to see. The joy of the Lord truly was her strength, and He was faithful to carry her through every trial. Her faith was unshakable and pure, as was her dedication to her church.
Vicki was born September 9, 1955 in Memphis, Tennessee. Most of her life was spent residing in Birmingham, Alabama, where she taught at Grantswood Elementary School.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Hrabovsky Knierim (Josh); her brothers, Brad and Butch (Charlene); her grandchildren, Isabel and William; her sister-in-law, Sandra; and her nephews and nieces, Dana (Brian), Drew, Keri (Andrew), Kevin (Mitcie), Charlie (Audrey), and Sam (Casey). While we mourn her passing, we do not mourn as those without hope. We long for the day when we will be reunited as we too come into the room Jesus has prepared for us.
