Saundra Lewis Johnson

Sandy graduated from Bay County High School in Panama City, Florida. She worked in the food brokerage business for more than 60 years. She had a passion for her work, her animals, and most of all, traveling with her family. Her family enjoyed adventures with her and hearing her stories about the life she lived around the world. To most, she was only known as “Nana”!

Sandy is survived by her daughter, Theresa Johnson Moore; grandchildren, Joshua Paul Moore (Jessica) and Jessica Moore Roberts (Case); great-grandchildren, Anniston Roberts, Madelyn Moore, Breckan Roberts, Eva Moore, and Canler Roberts; sisters, Melodie Lynne Bowers (Mike) and Melanie Kim Shaner; and niece and nephews, April Miller, Aaron (Brittany) Shaner, and Cody (Paola) Shaner.

A friends and family visitation will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 12 noon to 2 p.m., with a memorial service at 2 p.m., at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Shelby County Humane Society for Sandy's beloved cat Zorro and her many other four-footed loves over the years.
