Anne James, age 85, of Vestavia Hills, AL, passed away on September 28, 2024. She was born to Sidney and Ruby Arnold in Louisville, KY on August 4, 1939. Anne graduated from Ensley High School and went on to receive a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. On December 8, 1973 she married the late Dr. Charles L. James. Anne worked as a medical transcriptionist for Baptist Medical Center Princeton. She was a member of the American Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club, and had a passion for her dogs and reading. She is survived by her two sons, Richard K. Gordon and Randall M. Gordon.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 4, 2024 from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm with a service to follow at Southern Heritage Funeral Home. Burial to conclude in the adjoining Cemetery.
