Kenneth James Robinette, 81, passed away on Jan. 5th, 2024, at his home in Calera, Alabama.
Survivors he leaves to cherish his memory include; his wife of 62 years Janet Kapalla Robinette, sons Tony Robinette (Virginia), Terry Robinette (Theresa), daughter Dawn Dixon (David). Grandchildren Kasey Moore (Chris) Brittany Graham (Kyle), Kenneth Robinette (Caroline), Erin Perinovic (Nate), McKenna Dixon (Brendan Kearny), Robin Dixon (Amber). Great-grandchild Cameron Moore. Sister Rose Robinette.
He was preceded in death by his parents Edward Joseph Robinette and Loretta Robinette (Dion), his brothers David Robinette and Mike Robinette (Anna).
Ken was born in Alpena on March 21, 1942, and attended Catholic Central High School – Class of 1960. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy before completing a 26-year career with United Parcel Service. After his retirement he became a racehorse breeder, earning Alabama Breeder of the Year in 2011.
