Kenneth Eugene Potts, age 79, of Milton, FL and formerly of the Birmingham, AL area, passed away Friday, March 31, 2017. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Master Sergeant with 20 years of service.
After his honorable discharge from the military, Kenneth worked with J.F. Day and Company in Birmingham for 20 years, retiring as a Production Manager.
Kenneth was predeceased by his wife, Gail Potts; his parents, JW and Nellie Ruth Potts; one sister, Janice Overby; a brother, Charlie Potts; and one great-granddaughter, Jude Potts.
Survivors include Kenneth’s daughter, Debra Glass; two sons, Ed Potts and Danny Potts; grandchildren, Carrie Guevara, Aaron Potts, David Glass, Denise Whitten, and Matthew Potts; great-grandchildren, Caitlin Guevara, Sophia Guevara, Peyton Glass, and Skylar Potts; and two brothers, Ray Potts and Richard Potts.
The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Ridout’s Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, AL. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo. Brother Bo Brown will officiate.
