Everett Ralph Johnson Jr. was born March 26, 1937 in Washington DC to Everett Ralph Johnson Sr. and Marie Winkler Johnson, and was the oldest of 3 brothers. He was a sheet metal fabricator in HVAC all his working life. He was happily married to the late Nancy J. Johnson in May 1964, they were married for 57 years before our mom passed in September 2021. Our dad was a godly man, and a very hard worker, he provided his family with all they needed. He loved his two daughters so much and was endlessly proud of them. A true source of joy for him. He was the most giving man; he would lend a helping hand to neighbors and strangers alike. He enjoyed volunteering at the Valleydale Church to help build homes for Veterans. Back in the day he loved to play golf, build odds and ends around the home and in his retirement he spent most of his time tending to his flower & vegetable garden, which looked like a botanical park.
Dad will be remembered for his kind heart, vibrant and joking spirit and boundless generosity.
He is survived by his two daughters, Kim McTaggart (Rick McTaggart) and Kristie Maxwell (Brian Maxwell); Grandchildren; Jonathan, Katelee, Nicholas, Kyle, and Noelle; Great Grands; Leah and Madison.
A Life Well Loved Memorial will be held at the home of the late Everett Johnson, Saturday, January 4th, 2025 from 2pm to 5pm, 185 Thorn Berry Drive, Birmingham, AL 35242.
