Brenda Kay Austin Morgan

Brenda Austin Morgan, age 55, passed away peacefully November 28th, 2022. She was born on May 16th, 1967 to Robert Lee Sheibley and June Arlene Sheibley in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. Brenda Kay Austin was united in holy matrimony with Barry Morgan on November 19th, 2015 in Ashville, North Carolina. Their union blessed them with a blended family of 6 children and 8 grandchildren. Brenda was preceded by her mother, June Sheibley, and father, Robert Sheibley. She is survived by her husband, Barry Morgan and brother, Steve Sheibley (Jan Sheibley).

She is survived by daughter, Heather Baker (Kisha, Collins, Willow), son Nick Austin (Sierra, Ollie, Eli), daughter Kayla Berry (MacKenzie, Sadie). She is also survived by Barry’s son, Jason Morgan (Stephanie, Hannah), daughter Brooke Morgan Shepherd (Scott, Blaine), and son Drew Morgan.

Brenda received her formal education at Keys for Life and Learning in New Port Richey Florida in 1984. She furthered her education at Jefferson State Community College and Auburn University of Montgomery. Brenda was employed by United Johnson Brothers of Alabama as a Controller for 18 years. Brenda was a devout Christian that loved her family and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with each of them and spoiling them in her own special way. She enjoyed visiting the beach any chance she could get and visiting the mountains during the colder months. She loved planning family gatherings and special vacations that brought the family together. She loved watching Auburn football and her recent German Shepherd rescue, Chase. She was devoted to serving and helping others. She volunteered countless hours to the Birmingham Ronald McDonald House and the Breast Cancer Foundation of Alabama. She enjoyed planning fundraisers, attending auction events, and serving food to families in need.

Viewing will be held on Friday December 2nd, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Southern Heritage Funeral Home, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL. It will be followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 pm.
