Bobby Wayne Little

Bobby Little passed away peacefully at the home he designed in Birmingham, AL surrounded by his family on December 20, 2022. He is survived by his beloved wife Lynda Allen Little, his daughter, Joy Little Fitch (Sam), his son, Allen Little (Shannon), his sister, Patsy Little Vail (Johnny), and his grandchildren, Lauren Fitch Dunston (Clay), Anna Kathryn Fitch, Michael Fitch, Emery Little, and Griffin Little.

Bobby, the son of Mittie Faye and Honrie Little, was born in Clanton, Alabama. Upon his graduation from Chilton County High School, he attended Samford university where he earned a degree in Marketing and served as president of Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity. It was there he met Lynda who would become his wife for 57 years.

Bobby began his retail career with G.E.S. He was recruited in 1972 to be a Store Manager for Big B Drugs and held several positions ultimately becoming Senior Vice President of Store Operations. Most recently he worked as Director of Retail Operations for APCI. Bobby continued to consult with peers in the industry, providing mentorship and guidance after his official retirement in 2019.

Bobby served two-year terms as Alabama Retail Association Vice President and President, and was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Pharmacy by the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy.

Bobby was an active member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church for over 60 years. There he served faithfully in many capacities. He was passionate about the Recreation Ministry where he both coached and played basketball and the Chapel Choir who he served as a Choir Tour sponsor for over 25 years.

He will be remembered as an incredible husband, father, grandfather and a friend/ mentor to countless people. He was never too busy to take a phone call from anyone who needed advice or simply a listening ear.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 30, 11 am - 12:45 pm at Dawson Baptist Church with a memorial service immediately following.
