Barry Wayne Foshee

Barry Wayne Foshee, of Hoover, Alabama, was born on April 13, 1952, in Clanton, Alabama. He was the son of Harold and Sybil Foshee. His family moved to Homewood when he was 5. Several years later they settled in Bluff Park. Barry was a graduate of Marion Military Institute and Samford University. He was in commercial real estate development.

Barry enjoyed time with his family and was so proud of his children and grandchildren. He was an avid reader and enjoyed fishing in his younger years. He looked forward to Saturdays in the fall in front of the television watching SEC football games.

He was a member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church where he and Jill met and got married. They taught Youth Sunday School for a number of years.

He is survived by his wife, Jill; his children, Stacey and Stephen (Amy); grandchildren, Luke and Will; brother, Harold L. Foshee, Jr.; his mother-in-law, Shirley Bias; his brother-in-law, Douglas Johnson; sisters-in-law, Jody Baumgardner (David), and Tracy Berry (Roy).

A memorial service will be at 1:00 in the chapel at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church on March 1, followed by a visitation.
