Born November 27, 1944 in Versailles to Arnold and Betty (Black) Brown, he married Jeannie Ruth “Jean” Tamborine on September 8, 1963 in Pekin. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Jan (Stacey) Brown of Bellevue; one son, Shawn Brown of Orlando, Florida; two grandchildren, Nate Huskisson of Jacksonville and Shawn Paul Brown of Orlando; two great-grandchildren, Zoey Cloud of Pekin and Harrison Rounds of Farmington and three brothers, Jerry (Debbie) Brown of Tremont, Mike (Patty) Brown of Port Charlotte, Florida and Kevin (Julie) Brown of Pekin. He also leaves a very special great-grand dog, Tucker.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter-in-law, J.C. Brown and an infant brother.
Terry worked as an operator for 43 years for Corn Products Company in Pekin, retiring when the ownership was with Aventine.
He loved spending time with family camping and fishing and especially enjoyed hunting squirrel and deer. He lived a full life and up until his passing loved riding motorcycles.
He was a longtime member of Pekin First Church of the Nazarene.
His graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Friday, August 4, 2023 at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Pastor Jim Dawson will officiate. There will be no visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
