Born January 11, 1934, in Liverpool to Clarence and Lorraine (Warren) Riley, he married Helen L. Session on April 20, 1954 in Lewistown. She survives.
Also surviving are three children, Vicki (Peter) Ferro of Morton, Karen (Marshall) Gilson of Bartonville and Stanley Roger Riley, Jr. of Pekin; seven grandchildren, Michael (Heather) Ferro, Rebecca (John) Daugherty, Annie (Adam) Weller, Kirk (Aneesha) Gilson, Jay Gilson, Adam Riley and Weslee (Heather) Riley; eight great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Cooper, Connor, Ian, Sean, Grant, Siena and Milo and two siblings, Merle Riley of Genesco and Geneva (William) Smith of Maples Mill.
He was preceded by his parents and one granddaughter, Michelle Elise Cox.
Roger had worked at International Harvester until he retired in 1983 and then worked at Rocket Motor Freight until he retired in 1993.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, playing sports with the church leagues and watching the Chicago Bulls and Cubs.
Roger was a member of Maples Mill United Methodist Church in Lewistown where he played in several church league activities.
Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
