Sharon Louise Hawkins

She was born December 31, 1938 in Pekin, IL to Roy and Paulina (McPherson) Cobb. She married Dale Hawkins on November 10, 1956 in Hernando, MS. He preceded her in death on August 4, 1994 in Pekin. Also preceding her in death were her parents, and two sisters, Roberta Ann Cobb and Linda Durbin.

Surviving are her three children, Cindy (Dean) Peterson of Pekin, Darren Hawkins of Naples, FL, and Crystal Hawkins of Pekin; three grandchildren, Nicole (Mark) Sayles, Allen Hawkins and Andrew Hawkins; four grerat-granchildren, McKenzie, Draven, Hunter, and Nora Lee; two great-great-grandchildren, Liam and Sammy; and two sisters, Bonnie Cobb of Pekin and Paula Erxleben of North Pekin.

Sharon attended City Church in Pekin and worked as a caregiver at several area nursing homes until retiring. She enjoyed fishing in her free time and was passionate about the care of animals.

A funeral service will be at 11 am on Friday, July 29, 2022, with visitation one hour prior to the service at Davison-Fulton Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin. Burial will follow the service at Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin.
