Roy W. Tripp

Roy was born on June 2, 1933 in Rosetta, Illinois to William and Mary (Beard) Tripp.

Roy is survived by three daughters, Tracey Tegg of Spring Valley, Daphne (Scott) Whitmer of St. Clair, Missouri, Wesley Danner of Spring Valley; two sons, William Tripp of Troy, MO and Cabot (Tammy) Tripp of Rockford, IL.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents; William and Mary Tripp; by his brothers, Tom, Dale, and Dan; one sister, Betty Meline; one daughter, Brenda Emery.

Roy was proud to have served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War, November 23, 1954, and separation February 7, 1955; during his working career he worked at Caterpillar in East Peoria, IL for 33 years as a welder and after retirement he did odd jobs throughout the area.

Roy was an avid reader and loved to collect John Wayne memorabilia, Ducks, Stamps, and model cars.

A celebration of life and private committal will take place at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association, the Alzheimer Association or Al-Anon.
