Born December 15, 1922 in Stanford Township, Clay County to Frank and Anna (McLaughlin) Lusk, he married Ruth McLaughlin on June 18, 1950 in Flora. She died May 3, 2007. He was also preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Alan Lusk.
Surviving are one daughter, Robin (John) Barth of Hopedale; four sons, Robert W. (Nancy) Lusk and Michael (Shirley) Lusk, both of Urbana, Missouri, Patrick Lusk and David (Mary) Lusk, both of Tucson, Arizona; one grandson, Casey (Melissa) Barnard of Hopedale; nine granddaughters, Karri (Jim) Miller of Delavan, Kimberly Lusk of Bakersfield, California, Shawna Lusk of Urbana, Missouri, Megan Lusk of Tucson, Arizona, Rachel Lusk of Springfield, and Trisha (Clifton) White, Tammy (Rodney), Sandra, and Misty, all of Missouri; ten great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Kenneth (Linda) Lusk of Dunlap, Donald Lusk and John (Judy) Lusk, both of Flora.
He was a United States Army Air Force veteran of World War II. He attained the rank of Corporal.
Robert started in the construction trades as a pipeline welder and later was a pipeline superintendant. He continued working in the construction trades. He and his wife developed Edgewood Terrace Mobile Home Park in Morton.
He was a member of the Flora Masonic Lodge 204 AF & AM for over 50 years. He also was a member of the Shrine and had participated in the Shrine Horse Patrol at parades and festivals.
Robert enjoyed his horses and being with his family and grandchildren.
His funeral will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at The Cross Baptist, 4201 Edgewater Drive, Pekin, where visitation will be one hour before the funeral. Pastor Jay Arnold will officiate. Cremation will be accorded after the funeral.
