Born August 18, 1933 in Pana to Earl and Margaret (McGinley) Sisk, he married Sara J. McGowan on July 18, 1954 in Pekin. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Cheryl (Jerry) Boo of Tremont; one son, Daniel (Lisa) Sisk of Pineville, Louisiana; six grandchildren, Jenelle Boo of Harrisonburg, Virginia, Jacob Boo and Julianne Boo, both of Tremont, Jordan Sisk, Lindsey Sisk and Heath Hickman, all of Pineville, Louisiana; one great-granddaughter, McKenzi Hickman; one brother, Roger Sisk of Pekin; and two sisters, Kathleen Diegel and Phyllis (Larry) Vanderwerf, both of Pekin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; twin sons, Rickey Sisk and Barry Sisk; and two brothers, Robert Sisk and Clifford Sisk.
He was a member of the Tremont Baptist Church. He also had been a former longtime member and trustee at First Baptist Church in Pekin, where he truly enjoyed serving his church.
Rich had worked as a coded welder and master mechanic for Witco in Mapleton for 30 years, retiring in 1995. He previously had worked for George W. Deppert & Sons in Pekin.
He was a retired member of the United Chemical Workers Union, Local 607.
Rich was a big time St. Louis Cardinals and Green Bay Packers fan. He loved taking care of his yard and his flowers and enjoyed bowling. He also volunteered for many years with the Boy Scouts.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2012 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Noah Lee will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
