Patricia Ann Wilson

Born August 25, 1931 in Tremont to Christian and Martha (Weyhrich) Schaefer, she married John A. Wilson. He preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by her parents and one niece, Judy Brown.

Surviving are one daughter, Kelly S. (Jerry) Kerley of Pekin; two grandchildren, Nathan P. (Cheryl Langley) Kerley of Marquette Heights and Megan E. Kerley of Pekin; one brother, Norbert (Jean) Schaefer of Pekin; one niece, Christie (Chris) Martis of Pekin and one nephew, Jeff (Patti) Schaefer of Pekin.

Patricia retired from Scherer Buick after more than 20 years of service and later worked for Tucker Plumbing in Pekin.

She was a member of St. John’s (Sand Prairie) Lutheran Church in rural Green Valley, where she enjoyed taking part in church activities and was a member of the Epiphany Society.

Patricia loved hummingbirds and enjoyed cooking. She also enjoyed gardening and time spent with family.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at St. John’s (Sand Prairie) Lutheran Church in rural Green Valley. The Rev. Kevin Bueltmann and William Krueger, D.C.E. will officiate. The family will receive friends for one hour before the service at the church. Private burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Arrangements are by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
