Pamela Surratt

Born December 10, 1960 in Pekin to Darold Richard and Barbara Jean (Smalley) Hogue, she married William Leugene Surratt, Jr. on May 25, 1985 in Pekin.  He died May 11, 2007 in Far Rockaway, New York.

She also was preceded in death by her mother and one infant son, Brennan Surratt.

Surviving are her father and step-mother, Darold and Marcia Hogue of Groveland; one son, Charles “Chad” Surratt of Pekin; five sisters, Christy Lynn McAtee of Groveland, Kimberly Kay (Travis) Pollitt of Athens, Heidi Renee (David) Robbins of East Peoria, Emily Anne Hatfield and Elyse Nicole Hatfield, both of Groveland; one brother, Darold “Rick” (Jeanette) Hogue, Jr. of Pekin; 2 nephews, Ryan McAtee and T.J. Pollitt; and 5 nieces, Caitlin McAtee, , Breanna Pollitt, Ashlee Mayer, Jaedyn Robbins and Pamela Pichon.

Pam attended both Calvary Baptist Church and First Baptist Church in Pekin.

She worked as a receptionist at Harrington Obstetrics and Gynecology for several years.  She also worked for Rogy’s Child Care Centers.

She enjoyed watching her son, Chad, play football and loved to go shopping.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Michael R. McLeod and Pastor Mark D. Friday will officiate. 

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
