Born January 24, 1950 in Pekin to Thelmer Anderson and Mary Edith (Fox) Cline, she married Edward W. Garant on June 29, 1968 in Pekin. He passed away on March 19, 2020. She also was preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving are one daughter, Tracy (Mike) Stout of Florida; one son, David (Tina) Garant of East Peoria; eight grandchildren, Jerry (Kim) Stout, Jessica (Travis) Healey, Kaeleb (Lexi) Hutchison, Tara Hutchison, Jordan Stout, Austin (Destiny) Garant, Danielle Witherspoon and Alexis Garant; eighteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Thelmer (Karen) Cline and one sister, Gayle Godbey.
Nancy loved children and had a home daycare for most of her married life. She also did embroidery at the T-Shirt House in Pekin. She enjoyed gardening and sewing.
She formerly attended Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin.
Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
