Michael D Moore, Sr.

Born December 23, 1942 in Pekin to Albert and Velda (Shannon) Moore, he married Becky Schmidgall on June 9, 1978 in Mackinaw. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Elizabeth (David) McVey and Kayla (Jonathan Koczera) Moore, both of Morton; one son, Michael Moore, Jr. of Centralia; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jeff Moore of Florida and Steve Moore of Morton; and one sister, Marsha Sours of Manito.

Michael had served in the United States Army Reserves.

He had worked for Keystone Steel & Wire Co. for fifteen years. He previously had worked in maintenance at the Cape Cod apartment complex. He also had been involved with the Morton Police Auxiliary for many years and was a dietary aide at Pekin Manor.

Michael enjoyed fishing, watching the Andy Griffith Show and liked shooting his guns at the range.

His visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. There will be no services.
