Born August 6, 1975 in Pekin, he was the son of Cecil Carl and Dawn Marie (Johannes) Miller.
Surviving are his parents of Manito; one son, Trey Miller of Manito; two brothers, Evan Miller of Manito and Darren Miller of Pekin; his grandmother, Gerry Zuercher and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frieda Modglin, Bob Johannes and Frank and Allen Girard.
He was a 1993 graduate of Pekin Community High School.
Marshall was a millwright for many years last working out of Millwright Local 1693 in Chicago. As a millwright he worked in various places throughout the United States and also the Virgin Islands.
He was passionate about music and enjoyed life by going to music festivals and concerts. He was a huge fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and his family will remember him fondly for having a big heart and a unique personality. A proud moment in Marshall’s life was winning the state tournament on the Rankin Rebels Basketball Team. He also enjoyed playing baseball and basketball with Pekin Union Mission and Boys and Girls Club of Pekin.
Marshall was baptized and confirmed as a member at Grace United Methodist Church in Pekin.
A celebration of life gathering with food, fellowship and music will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2024 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Cremation has been accorded.
