Born April 19, 1924 in Pekin to George and Esther (Junge) Belville, she married J. Gene Ziebold on July 26, 1944 in Sioux City, Iowa. He died April 3, 1985 in Peoria. She also was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Roger Ziebold and Gary Ziebold; granddaughter, Alexis Gilman; brother Robert Belville; and sister, Dorothy Bailey.
Surviving are one son, David (Sharon) Ziebold of Washington; one daughter, Cheryl (Larry) Gilman of Anacortes, Washington; one daughter-in-law, Doris Ziebold of Vancouver, Washington; seven granddaughters, Carrie (Nathan) Baumann, Shelley (Dan) Smith, Yvette (Scott) Campbell, Melissa (Matt Fields) Madden, Jennifer Fetter, Kim Ziebold and Becky Ziebold; one grandson, Daniel Ziebold; nine great-grandchildren, Elijah Smith, Dakota Baumann, Abigail Baumann, Anna Campbell, Andrew Campbell, Heather Campbell, Haley Campbell, Trinity Fetter and Kylia Fetter; and one brother-in-law, Robert (Lois) Ziebold.
Marilyn was a member of First United Methodist Church in Pekin.
She enjoyed knitting, sewing and traveling.
She worked as the Assistant Head Librarian in Research & Development for Caterpillar, Inc. in Mossville for 30 years, retiring January 1, 1985.
Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, December 5, 2010at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev. Terry C. Edele will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral. Cremation will be accorded following services.
