Lisa Lynn Scott

She was born November 23, 1967 in Pekin to Gary Bush and Mary (Friday) Bush. She was preceded in death by her parents and one step-brother, Gary Bush, Jr.

Surviving are two daughters, Rachel (Blake) Leeper of East Peoria and Emily (Samuel Willis) Scott of Bloomington; one granddaughter, Charlotte Leeper of East Peoria; step-father, James Sturgeon of East Peoria, step-mother, Kat Bush of Texas and three step-siblings, JJ Sturgeon of Texas, Jennifer Bush of California, and Samantha Cooper of California.

Lisa performed customer service work for the Pekin Daily Times for thirteen years. She was previously a waitress at local Pekin restaurants.

Although known for her feisty personality, Lisa was very caring, loved her family, and held a deep appreciation for music of many genres.

She formerly attended First United Methodist Church in Pekin and later attended The Crossing in Monmouth.

Cremation has been accorded. A gathering celebrating Lisa’s life will be held at Untamed Chef, 7338 N University St., Windsor Square, Peoria, Illinois 61614 on Tuesday, March 12 at 3 P.M.
