Leonard H. "Len" Schreiber

Born September 29, 1933 in Livermore, Iowa to Howard Arnold and Minnie Louise (Wilson) Schreiber, he married Sondra Kay Johnson on June 29, 1957 in Ames, Iowa. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Donna (Kevin) Dawson of Elmwood and P.J. (Jim) Vick of Delavan; two sons, Steven Schreiber of Pekin and Timothy Schreiber of Groveland; five grandchildren, Ashlie, Ryan, Kristin, Wade and Brooke; two great-grandchildren, Serenity and Emmett and one sister, Lois Zuehlke of Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant daughter, Lisa Schreiber; one brother, Leo Schreiber and two sisters, Dorothy Gimmer and Nancy Terry.

He was a United States Navy veteran of the Korean War and served as a Medic.

Len was a show manager for AGCO, formerly Allis Chalmers, for 42 years, retiring in 2004.

He was a former member of both the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post. He enjoyed gardening, reading, painting and known to catch an occasional nap.

Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. No funeral or visitation is planned at this time. Inurnment will be held in Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin at a later date.
