Laura M Larson

Born March 4, 1925 on the family farm in Delavan to Edward D. and Tena D. (Wilts) Hubbard, she married Charles W. Larson on June 18, 1947 in Bloomington. He preceded her in death on December 29, 1995 in Peoria.

Also preceding her in death are one granddaughter, one great-grandson, two brothers and two sisters.

Surviving are two sons, Dale Larson of Pekin, David (Melanie) Larson of Middletown, MD; two daughters, Doris Ziebold of Vancouver, WA, Cheryl Greene of Joplin, MO; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Larry (Deanna) Hubbard of Cantril, IA, Richard (Kathy) Hubbard of Milwaukee, WI and one sister, Donna (Lorn) Schlappi of Mackinaw.

Laura had been a registered nurse for Pekin Hospital for forty years, retiring in 1987.

She was a member of Second Reformed Church in Pekin where she had been very active.

Laura enjoyed camping and spending time with her family and friends. She loved flowers and was an avid counted cross stitcher.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Jay Sowers will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Prairie Rest Cemetery in Delavan.
