Kathleen Landrum Keller

Born June 10, 1949 in Detroit, Michigan to Calvin and Vivaleen (Potts) Landrum, she married Rev. Dr. Curt D. Keller on October 29, 1983 in Neoga. He survives.

Also surviving is her son, Christopher Keller of Millersville, Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Geoffrey Keller on September 9, 2012 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Kathy was a graduate of Carson-Newman University in Jefferson City, Tennessee, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in History.

She taught English as a second language for many years for Pekin Public Schools District 108 and first taught at Vanderbilt University in Nashville.

Kathy loved and was devoted to her boys. She also enjoyed playing the piano and was fond of animals, especially Shelties.

She was a board member of the Malignant Hyperthermia Association of the United States. She is a past recipient of the "One Imperative Award" from the YWCA in Pekin and was a member of the Coalition for Equality in Pekin

She was a person of faith and part of family of Hudson United Methodist Church, where her husband is the Pastor

A memorial service celebrating her life will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 9, 2021 at Hudson United Methodist Church. The Rev. Jim Barnett will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church on Friday. Cremation has been accorded. Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin is in charge of arrangements.
