I remember the pecan pies and strawberry pretzel salad she always made at family gatherings. It was amazing! She was an amazing cook. I remember always hearing her singing at church solos duets quartets and singing in the choir. I always wanted to sing like her because her voice was beautiful. I'll miss her voice saying Kimberly Joy or Jerry. There was just something when you heard her say those names that brought a smile on your face! I remember when she told me she was sick upstairs in Kimberly's house. We both cried together but I was so thankful for that sweet moment between us.   She touched so many lives including mine with her sweet loving fun spirit. Her spirit lives on thru her family and all the many peoples lives that she touched. I love you Aunt Karen. I'll never forget you and can't wait to see you soon in heaven. 

I recall Karen's enthusiastic smile as she taught and coached in Pekin. May the Great Shepherd comfort her family until they rejoin her in His presence

Karen loved all things related to fall—all the activities and, of course, the local fall festivals like the Marigold Festival, Pumpkin Festival and Spoon River Drive.
We will miss you, sweet Karen !!
But, we know that we see you again someday 
at that great meeting in the air!! 

We are so sorry to hear of Mrs. Bond's passing - she was our daughter, Karen's, cheerleading coach at  Faith Baptist Christian  School.  Our prayers are with Mr. Bond and the entire family at this difficult time.      Bill & Lois Houston

So sorry to get this news. I know this has been a long and hard journey, but this road leads us to a glorious, happy reunion. This lady was a huge influence in my life. She taught me sign language in high school at FBCS and encouraged me to pursue that field. I became certified interpreter for over 25 years. She was also my cheerleading coach and had a way of bringing out the best in you to work hard toward your goals. What an incredible inspiration and example she has been! She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her. She has touched my life and so many others!  Your family is in our prayers!

So very sorry to receive this news about Karen. She was a delightful woman, and her devotion to you and Kimberly, Jerry, was so evident. I always enjoyed talking with her by phone or in person in the Calvary Baptist Church office. She was definitely the right person for that position! My other poignant memory of Karen was at many volleyball games when Kimberly was in HS and college! No one cheered more loudly or enjoyed those games more. Oh--and her voice!  The voice of an angel! Loved hearing her sing--beautifully and always honoring to the Lord! Praying for you all as you grieve this loss while also rejoicing that this much loved wife, mother, and grandmother is with the Lord, meaning your deep sorrow is filled with real hope.  

I remember Karen from Homewood Heights Grade School. I was a year older. We were cheerleaders together and we were a small school so everybody knew each other.  Karen was always so nice. May she RIP. I send prayers to her family. Sharon Burch Garls

I've known Karen since 5th grade at Homewood Heights Grade School in Creve Coeur, Illinois. My Mother made her orange & black cheerleading outfit for the school there. We lived right across the street from the school. I remember Mrs. Rash coming down to the field next our house and picking up Brenna and carrying her home while Karen followed close behind. The girls were sticking their tongues out at each other while Mrs. Rash carried Brenna. It was so funny to watch. Lots of good memories there as well as at F.B.C.S. in Pekin. Karen had a beautiful singing voice.  She will be missed by many. We can find comfort knowing that she is with her Savior now and we who know the Lord will see her again some day soon. Our prayers are for Jerry, Kimberly and the grandkids and Karen's sisters as they go through this difficult time of grieving.

I always appreciated Karen's sense of humor!  My wife Debbie and I served with her in several ministries at Faith Baptist Church.  Karen was always smiling and joking whether working or playing.  She was always a joy to be around.  Now the joy is all hers as she is in the presense of her heavenly Father!

We will miss you Karen, but rejoice in knowing we will see you again soon!

I always loved and thought so much of Karen & Jerry they treated my husband and I really well.Karen had both Tara and Derek Hilst for typing class one time she said who would you rather have do work for you Derek the ones that  gets finished first with lots of mistakes or Tara with no mistakes but takes her a little longer it was so funny the day she shared that She was a very kind lady and Jerry was a gentlemen. Karen is in heaven now no more pain and confusion.
