Born April 5, 1951 in Peoria to Clifton and Dorothy Marie (Huston) Rash, she married Jerry L. Bond on August 16, 1974 in Pekin. He survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Kimberly Joy (Kyle) Pfaffe of Cedar Park, Texas; three grandchildren, Mya, Kohen and Cruz and two sisters, Colleen McElroy of Celina, Texas and Brenna Penry of Price, Utah.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Karen had worked as an administrative assistant at Maranatha Baptist University in Watertown, Wisconsin for ten years. She later worked at Calvary Baptist Church in Watertown for eight years as their administrative assistant.
A God loving woman, Karen was dedicated to her Lord and her family, especially her grandchildren whom she adored. She had a contagious smile and laugh that filled a room, and she was always the life of the party. She also enjoyed traveling with her sisters and family.
Karen was a former member of Faith Baptist Church in Pekin and Calvary Baptist Church in Watertown, Wisconsin.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Faith Baptist Church in Pekin. Pastor Rory Bond and Pastor Bob Loggans will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Additional visitation will be from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday morning at the church. Burial will be at Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Union Hall Baptist Church, 301 County Road 259, Liberty Hill, Texas 78642.
