Born September 21, 1932 in Peoria, she was the daughter of Joseph and Opal (McCabe) Murphy. Her parents preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Duane Devore; one grandson, Richard J. “Rick” Reese; three brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are two daughters, Dory J. (Dennis) Crawford of Rotonda West, Florida and Lori Harmon of Mackinaw; one grandson, Justin (Jamie) Smith of Bloomington and one great-granddaughter, Ashley Reese Phelps of Pekin.
Joann formerly owned and operated the Hide-A-Way Tavern in Mackinaw for many years. She loved to play cards and spend time at their winter home in Florida. Joann was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
No services or visitation are planned. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
