Born October 27, 1939 in Peoria to Chester L. and Beulah E. (Crawford) Wiseman, he married Eloise Hodgson in 1961. He later married Semone Ann Brown. She died July 8, 1991. He then met Julie Schoon and together they raised their son, Dalton Wiseman.
Surviving are three sons, Frank Wiseman, Jr. and Waylon Wiseman, both of Pekin, and Dalton Edward Wiseman of South Pekin; one daughter, Samantha “Twig” Dansby of Pekin; two granddaughters, Tannah Wiseman and Jersye Wiseman, both of Pekin; one brother, Tom Wiseman of Pekin; three sisters, Phyllis (Dick) Sanders of Overland Park, Kansas, Linda Miller of Pekin, and Wanda (Jerry) Little of Manito; and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his dog, Max, who was his best friend.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John Wiseman and Kenneth Wiseman; and two sisters, Dixie Rose Wiseman and Patti Schwartz.
After high school, Frank joined and served in the United States Army. He then started working in the construction field where he became a concrete and mason laborer. He later joined Laborers Local #231 in Pekin, where for several years he worked for various contractors.
Frank owned and operated Wiseman Concrete, where along with his son and other quality concrete tradesmen, served and continues to serve the Pekin area as a concrete contractor.
He was a member and past President of Laborers Local #231 in Pekin and was a member of South Pekin Congregational Church. He was an associate member of Marine Corps League in Pekin and a former member of the Southside Business Association.
Frank was a very giving man and had helped many people over his life. He enjoyed working in his yard where he had flowers and ponds.
His funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2012 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev. Eric Branch will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Private burial will be at Woodrow Cemetery in rural Pekin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Don Bohlander Parkinson’s Group in care of Holli Goss, 1410 Hazel Street, Pekin, IL 61554.
