Born July 21, 1969 in Franklin Park to H. Dean and Sharon Joe (Jackson) Robinson, he married Sheri Lynn Johnston on September 1, 1990 in Pekin. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother of Marquette Heights; one son, Cody (Hanna) Robinson of Pekin; two grandchildren, Hudson Robinson and Kamberly Robinson; two brothers, Thomas (Judy) Massoth of Willits, California and Teddy Massoth of Pekin; two sisters-in-law, Kathryn (Bob) Goodin of Marquette Heights and Susan Pollman of Pekin and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; one sister, Nikole Robinson; a sister-in-law, Sandra Shipton and two brothers-in-law, Stanley Johnston and Mitchell Johnston.
Eric worked for Eagle Companies, located in Rome for the past 13 years. He previously worked for Mitsubishi Motors in Bloomington.
Eric loved motorcycles and was an old school hill climber. He was a life member of the American Motorcycle Association.
He was devoted to his grandkids and enjoyed playing horseshoes and with RC Crawlers.
He was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Pekin.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Rev. Jonathan Butcher will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. A celebration of life gathering will be held starting at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Marine Corps. League in rural Pekin. Cremation will be accorded following the funeral.
