Born June 28, 1932 in Pekin to Harry Thomas and Nellie Grace (Keshner) Fearey, she married Nolan Arla Wilson on June 18, 1955 in Pekin. He died September 18, 1966 in Peoria. She also was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Harry Thomas Fearey, Jr., sister Mary Jane Butterfield of Pekin, IL and brother in law's Jim Chamberlin and Bob Butterfield.
Surviving are two sons, Scott Alan and wife Kelli Wilson of Rockwall, TX and Spencer Dean Wilson and Jean Verti of Rancho Santa Marguerite, CA; one daughter, Sally Ann (Wilson) Howell and Tim Williams of Omaha, NE ; one granddaughter, Brittany Elizabeth Howell of Torrington, WY, one sister, Anna Mae Chamberlin of Freeport, IL and six nephews.
Beverly worked at Pekin Hospital during high school from 1949 to until graduating from Pekin Community High School in 1950. Beverly was a 1953 graduate of the Graham Hospital School of Nursing. She then returned to work at Pekin Hospital as a registered nurse from 1954 to October 1963. She attended the Saint Francis School of Nurse Anesthesia in 1965 to earn her certification as a certified nurse anesthetist. She then worked as a certified registered nurse anesthetist at Pekin Hospital from March 1965 until retiring in December 1992, with the last 17 years as a department head.
She was a member and past president of the Pekin Registered Nurses Club and a member of the Pekin Hospital Retirees Club. She was a former member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She was an avid reader, enjoyed doing needlework; making crafts and ceramics. She also enjoyed photography, traveling and painting with oil and acrylics. She was a past member of Central Illinois Decorative Artists Society.
She was a member of First Christian Church of Rockwall, TX and a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Pekin.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev. Dr. Rodger P. Abatie of Trinity Lutheran Church will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
