He was born September 17, 1949 in Versailles to Orville and Eva (Darnell) Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Randy and Edward Davis.
Surviving are two sons, Archie Davis, Jr. of Jacksonville and Kevin Davis of Raymond six grandchildren, Kimmy Davis, Keith Harbert and Airyk, Brent, Lexy and Kalie Davis; one brother, Lee Davis in Oregon and his good friend, Robert Turner.
Archie was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp.
He had worked for Panning for Gold for 20 years, retiring in 2017 and he also enjoyed traveling.
There are no services scheduled at this time. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Inurnment will be at Westside Cemetery in Versailles at a later date.
