Aunty Victoria had a kind heart and she was very lovable. She always had something to laugh about; I’ll always remember her contagious laugh. I’d like to extend my deepest condolences to the family. I pray that God’s presence will surround your home and He will comfort you on every side. Amen


My good friend and sister.  I remembered the beautiful moments we shared together.  The passion and zeal you  have for things of God is a sermon i read every time i come in contact with you, your gentle spirit is so contagious. You are a woman of great faith.  I will miss you so much,  but I have a belive we shall meet on the resurrection morning to path no more. May your gentle soul rest in peace 🙏.

Forever in our hearts 😭😭😭😭😭😭

As painful as Vic’s death is, I thank God for the pleasant memories of her that keep flooding my mind. Most people remember  Vic for her warm, simple and humorous ways. Can’t remember anytime I spent with Vic and Monty that I did not leave light hearted. She had the gift of just uplifting anyones spirit. That is how I will always remember her. Thank you for the joy and laughter we shared. I can see you being shown around heaven and you go “ Ahehh! Ayaya o” with that childlike innocent laughter. You even laughed with your eyes at the most simple things and that was infectious. My wife and I shared a wonderful experience of watching a movie in a theatre with Vic. At the end of the movie, it was her comments and laughter that we remembered. Every single thing thrilled her. We all will miss your voice as you laugh but the thought of you still splits our faces with a warm smile. Rest on our Vic; I want to believe Heaven is a happier place because you got home!

I had no siblings here in the USA or direct family. Auntie V became that for the kids and I. Her wisdom was unequaled and I miss her so much!

Gone from our sights, but never from our hearts. A life well lived. May God’s love and comfort be with us at this time.

Victoria fought the fight, and finished the course in faith. Words cannot even express our deep sorrows. May she rest in peace. 

As I sit here still trying to learn to accept the reality that you are no longer with us I also wonder how the vacuum that you have left will be filled and I realise it cannot be filled and will remain the way it is, a vacuum.The tears flood back into my eyes my dear sister Ekaete it is such a rude shock that you have left us now,I thought we still had many more years for the regular chit chats we used to have which were usually laced with humour and rib-cracking laughter.Oh my God Sis,you were such a friend and close companion to me despite the number of miles that was  between us sometimes,yet the closeness was still there.You were a sister,a friend and even a Mum to me.You looked out for me and advised me many times in quite a sweet way that most times made me to heed to your ideas and counsel. I will always miss you.🥲

I met Aunty Vic for the first time about 20years ago,as her daughter and I are friends and  attended the same school. I got to know her better in a different space when I spent time with the family in Houston. She was very welcoming and treated me like her own.  I never felt uncomfortable in her home and I felt like I was part of the family. She always made time to  cook and ensured  I was well fed . She was funny and told things as is,and I will always remember her for that and so much more. 
My condolences to the entire family, I pray God grants you the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and may He provide you with peace and strength during this time.

My Dearest Friend, Vicky, Though the Bells Tolled for you earlier than we all expected, Nevertheless,  I thank The good Lord Almighty for granting me the opportunity to meet, Acquaint, and know you as a Sister, and also, for being the Magnificent person that you were. Yes, we sometimes found ourselves, though, not frequently, on opposite tangents, yet, they were all 31 years of blissful,  exciting, and pleasant memories in summary. My "Mea Culpa" has been observed in solemn, solitary and frank tenure., Sleep Sweet, and well in the bosom of our Lord God Almighty, my beloved Sister. Yomi Michael-Yobo.

I have just seen the funeral program which you forwarded to me. It is really painful, yet as Christians we have to bear it as the unquestionable will of God. My wife and I will always pray for you and your children, that the Lord should be your strength and comfort you. May the soul of Victoria Idiong rest with the Lord. Amen.

I pray that God will give you all the fortitude to bear the loss of a lovely mother, wife, sister and aunt. She has gone to rest. May her gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

Words fail me mama! nothing truly prepares a child for the loss of a Mom. It feels like yesterday as I recall you bathing and preparing me for nursery school. I still remember our trips to Aba Aria Aria market , can't forget those your Paloma Picasso sunshades and how We both loved it. Those irreplaceable moments I carry with me mama, knowing that you're gone and all we have now are memories is really the grief that breaks my heart . We did all we knew how to, we fought alongside you.We may have lost you in this life time but I believe you are in a better place.and we will meet again. The Idiong’s family can never be the same without you. You are the exit of a silver lining in dark clouds.

A Tribute to you my Childhood Bestie.

I've lost many friends and colleagues to the cold hands of death but yours is one I've refused to come to terms with. 
Victoria, this can't be true. You're really no more on this side of eternity? Growing up with you was such fun. Our dads were besties till death parted them. Death has parted us too. I now know one day we too will exit this mysterious world through this monster called DEATH. Rest in the bosom of your creator. You'll always be in my heart my dear friend and sister.
