Persephone was born in Beaumont, Texas on December 13th, 1976. She was the first born to Donald and Bettie Hayes, sharing her birthdate with a nephew, Camden. She was a loving daughter, amazing granddaughter, protective sister, courageous niece, and wonderful cousin. Persephone attended and graduated from Westbrook High School. After graduation Persephone joined the United States Navy. During her service she received an accreditation as an electrician.
Following her service Persephone had a career in medicine. She loved singing, dancing, shopping and all things medicine. She especially loved cooking Italian Food, Spaghetti, Tuscan Soups and Grilled Cheese.
Persephone is survived by her children Giani Cascio and Gage Mallory; grandchild Slater Cascio; parents Donald and Bettie Hayes; and siblings Donald Hayes Jr. and Candy Fernandez.
A celebration of life and memorial for Persephone will be held Friday, October 25, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Forest Park South Funeral Home, 12650 Shadow Creek Parkway, Pearland, Texas 77584. Repast will follow at Italiano's 11710 Broadway ST, Pearland, TX 77584.
