John Harvey Manley III was born to the late Margie and John Manley, Jr. on December 29, 1945 in Galveston, Texas. After his parents' death, John and his brothers were raised by his grandparents, Charlie and Rosella Williams, in Conroe, Texas. John graduated from Jack Yates High School, and received his BS from Wylie College, in Marshall, Texas.
John was an employee of Maxwell House Coffee Plant for 33 years, retiring in 2005. After his retirement, he and Linda, his wife of 42 years, travelled all over the world together. John loved to spend time with his wife and children. He loved to watch football (he was a fan favorite of the Washington Redskins aka the Washington Commanders), and tennis. He volunteered at Lake Olympia Middle School and Hightower High School, where his son Patrick was a student.
