Peggy Ann Ferguson

Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 8:00pm, Monday, March 7, 2022, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home, 3780 Hwy 80 E, Pearl, Mississippi, and from 11:00am until 1:00pm, Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at Truitt Memorial Baptist Church, 3705 Old Brandon Rd., Pearl, Mississippi. Funeral services will follow at 1:00pm Tuesday at Truitt Memorial with interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens, 4111 Hwy 80 E, Pearl, Mississippi.

Services will be officiated by Rev. Dennis Ellingburg. Serving as pallbearers will be Colby Whitfield, Christian Whitfield, Caleb Whitfield, Alex Prager, Hunter Jones-Whitfield, and Anthony Barnao. Honorary pallbearers are Cameron Turner, and Cody Smith.

Peggy was born September 30, 1941, to Lois and Bitsy Bridges. Her early years were spent in Kilmichael and Winona, Mississippi. She graduated from Kilmichael High School in 1959. She then attended Northwest Community College in Senatobia, Mississippi, where she received her cosmetology license, before eventually settling in Pearl around 1966.

It is there that Peggy found her passion as an Insurance Underwriter. She received numerous awards throughout her career before retiring in 2009.

Peggy was a devoted member of Truitt Memorial Baptist Church for many years and she loved her church family dearly.

Peggy was also a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, always letting anyone who would listen know how blessed she was, and how proud she was of each and every child. She often traveled all over Mississippi and Florida to watch her grandchildren play sports. She was also an avid Mississippi State Bulldog, New Orleans Saints, and Atlanta Braves fan.

Peggy is survived by her sisters, Jeanette Eiland, and Skeet Simmons; children, Marty Whitfield (Kimberly), Jeff Whitfield (Amy), and Renee Bordeaux (Greg); 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Stella Rose Whitfield.
